Learn the Benefits
Learn about the benefits of getting yourself outdoors and engaging with nature, especially if you already live and work in a City. Your well-being is more than how many reps you can do in the gym or the weight on the scale. Connecting with nature changes lives!

Find a Park
Enjoy and advocate for plants in people plaes. Our concrete jungles need life to keep us truly alive! Parks come in all shapes and sizes and need to be integrated into your everyday, not just special destinations or organized sports facilities.

Get Moving
Seek out events or simply get yourself moving however you can. Whatever you do, just get outside and start moving. Rather than soul-searching from the inside out, try getting outside first to see how that might lead towards a better you within.
WHY PARKS ARE MY OASIS
Connecting to Yourself through Parks
Parks 4 Life is dedicated to inspiring people to get outside and get moving. To recognize the power of gaining strength from within by engaging in nature walks, runs, and other leisurely activities that not only provide respite, but places to ignite and re-examine your short and longterm goals. It is in these types of spaces where we not only find ourselves, but one another in the process. Whether literally physically along our shared park spaces, or even later emotionally by sharing insights within a loved one later when we return home or connect virtually in some other way. Maybe it helps you zone out, maybe it gives you a place to get out your frustrations out through sweating it out, or maybe it gives you a peaceful place to meditate or maybe it just gives you a safe space to go to when you aren't sure where else to turn. For me it's all of the above.
My passion for seeing others excel in whatever they do is driven by my own interest to constantly challenge myself in and outside of my "work" day. I am so happy when people come together in places where everyone is an equal and where they can get energized by the spatial qualities parks can provide, but even more by how they are programmed to inspire people to be active participants within them and socially interact.
Parks give me a place to test my limits by providing me opportunities where there are no limits to how hard I can push myself, how many places I can experience (or even again and again in new ways), and how many new people or new relationships I can build within them. My committment to myself is made stronger by the connections I create in harmonious spaces that benefit both people and plants in parks.
